Résumé
When Travis transfers to a new school, he becomes a big target for his old nemesis Shon and his thug friends. Maybe it's because Travis lives in a trailer park with his gentle aunt, his uncle Miserable Mike, and lots… of little cousins while his country-and-western singer mother is on the road. Or maybe it's because he loves to sew, wants to be a professional puppeteer, and his best friend is a girl, Chantelle, who comes from an even stranger family than he does. Some strong language. For junior high readers. Winner of the 2003 Governor General's Award for Children's Literature. 2003.
