Summary
Sixth-grader Mags has a lot of responsibility. Her mother works at night, and Mags has to take care of eight-year-old Hannie, who is brain damaged, and six-year-old Mooch, who steals food. On the way home from school one day, Hannie… spots a stuffed unicorn in a field and insists on keeping it. It may be old and dirty, but Hannie is sure it is magic.
